One of the best books I've read in a long time. The story touched my heart. Loved the two main characters.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters come alive throughout. While this is a sad time in our history, I am glad that these days are over.
The love shown through Mattie and Lisbeth is strong and true. We could all learn from them.

The characters were believable and relatable. The love shared between Marrie and Lisabeth was beautiful and I loved watching Lisabeth’s life choices shaped by the beliefsthat Mattie taught her. Beat book i have read in awhile! Strongly recommend!
